It has been 3 consecutive nights that I’m going home so late at night due to our monthly closing of books. We have lots of reports to finish but our system is not functioning well so staying late at night to finish all the work is a must. As usual, I’m going to office very early in the morning and still going home very late at night. With that being said, I don’t see my daughter awake. We no longer play at night because when I arrived home, she is already sleeping and when I leave home in the morning, she is still sleeping. I miss our playing time and I miss her so much.
Last night I was so lucky that my officemate has crab for us to take home. My daughter used to call crab as “kitong” from the song “tong tong pakitong kitong, alimango”. I’m so excited to go home because she will be very happy seeing that crab.
I arrived home late and my two precious girls were already sleeping but my daughter suddenly woke up. I let her saw “kitong” and it seems that she wanted to play but her tired body can't hold it any longer and she went back to sleep again..
This morning, she unusually woke up early and played with “kitong” but we can’t afford not to eat it. I felt so sorry for my daughter because she wants to play with it all the time but it will be spoiled if we didn’t eat it at once. But seeing my daughter so happy will make me inspired to finish all the reports this afternoon and hopefully tonight my wife and I can have some 'solo' time and bring 'something' home for our daughter. An artificial crab might make her night tonight, so let's see!
ps:
photo of yena and the crab to follow, my wife has to upload them yet.
